The business behind the site

smartpapercraft.net is operated by Smart Paper Craft Pty Ltd, a company registered in Queensland, Australia (ABN 47 623 118 905). Sole owner and director: Daniel Mercer. Registered address: 5 Grand Parade, Parrearra QLD 4575. Contact: smartpapercraft@gmail.com · +61 3 9416 2873.

Based in Queensland, governed by Queensland law, GDPR-respecting for overseas customers — see the privacy policy for the data side.

Governing law

Everything on this site — orders, quotes, workshops, content — is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes that can't be settled by a phone call go to Queensland courts or tribunals. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

GDPR — for EU and UK customers

We're an Australian business, but if you're in the EU or UK we treat your data under GDPR rules anyway — it's simply good practice:

  • Lawful basis: we process your data to fulfil your order (contract) or answer your enquiry (legitimate interest). Newsletter: consent only.
  • Your rights: access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection — email smartpapercraft@gmail.com and we respond within 30 days.
  • Data transfers: your data is processed in Australia; by ordering you consent to that transfer.
  • Complaints: you may complain to your local supervisory authority — though we'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.

Full detail of what we collect and keep lives in the privacy policy — please read it alongside this page.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, photography, journal articles, product designs — belongs to Smart Paper Craft Pty Ltd. You may quote short excerpts with a link back. Republishing full articles or copying our designs for commercial purposes needs written permission first.

Liability, honestly stated

We stand behind our work — bench-numbered items carry lifetime workmanship cover, and consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law apply to everything we sell. Beyond that, we're not liable for indirect losses (say, a missed deadline consequence) to the extent the law allows. Product care instructions ship with every item; ignoring them voids the reasonable part of any claim.

How we maintain this

Kept like our
other paperwork

Reviewed every January. Each document gets a read-through once a year — the date at the top is the honest last-pass date, not a launch-day leftover.
Plain English first. We write the version a customer would actually read, then check it covers what it has to. If a sentence needs a law degree, it gets rewritten.
Changes flagged up top. If something material changes, the updated-date moves and the difference is noted in the first section — never buried in clause 14(b).
Real people, real address

A small company,
not a faceless brand

Smart Paper Craft Pty Ltd is three people in Parrearra. These documents were written by us — if a clause ever seems unclear, you can literally call the person who wrote it.
